APH America x Reader {SongFic: Dear You}

   {I'm wondering where you are and what you are doing now.}

  "[N-Name]? Are you still thinking of him..?" [Name] turned around, looking to her best friend Matthew.

  "How could I not..?" She sighed, looking down at her feet in the cold moonlight.

   {Are you at the other side of this blue sky?}

  "I don't even know where he is..!" She choked out in despair. "I don't even know if he is alive, Matthew!"

   {There used to be something filling my empty heart.}

  Matthew looked at [Name] with pity. "He'll come back... I'm sure of it. Alfred is... very strong. He won't die." He walked over to [Name], placing a warm hand on the girl's shoulder.

   {Now that I've lost it, I can see it was you.}

  "He made my heart whole... I can't bear to lose him..." [Name] sat down on the cold ground, Matthew doing the same.

   {How you have always been the one to cheer me up.}

  "No one could make me happier than him..."

   {How you had always given me so many smiles}

  "No one could make me smile brighter..."

   {The price I must pay for what I've lost is...}

  "What if I lose him Matthew?" [Nam] teared up.

   {Much too big and impossible to bear}

  "You wo-"

  "WHAT IF HE DOES DIE!?" [Name] screamed.

   {Though I reach out the furthest that I can}

  "[Name]... Just think... About when he made you smile." Matthew hugged her. "It'll be alright."

   {To try and bring back the life I could have had}

  [Name] sat on a bench, reading. But that soon would be interrupted as Alfred snuck up behind her. He grabbed her shoulders and yelled. "Gooooooood afternoon, [Name]~!!" He smiled.

   {As if you were wind, you slip right through my hands.}

  [Name] flinched looked back, but everything faded, until nothing but darkness was left.

   {And although I see you, I cannot reach.}

  All she could see was darkness, until Alfred was there in the darkness. "Alfred!" She yelled and started running. But the darkness ran on forever, and nothing moved. She didn't get closer, nor did he.

   {Not knowing what to do and having no one to turn to.}

  "Alfred no! Please!" [Name] wailed as Alfred started to fade.

   {Slowly I feel how my heart starts to fade}

  "Don't leave me alone..!"  She cried.

   {But all your smiles that I have in my memory}

  "My heart is with you. Along with my smiles, and soul." A voice whispered to [Name]. "Now please smile for me."

   {Cheer me up like you used to before}

  "I can try..." [Name] sobbed, making a small smile.

  "Thank you... I couldn't love your beautiful smile anymore than I already do." Alfred's ghostly figure appeared in front of [Name].

  "Alfred..." She smiled while crying.

  He held out his hand for her to take. She gladly grabbed it, and he pulled her to her feet.

   {And once again I'll go back to those days.}

  "I would change everything if I could, Alfred." [Name] hugged his misty figure. "I'll make it so the war never started! And I'll make no mistakes in our lives!"

   {I know that this time I won't make mistakes.}

  "It's already perfect, [Name]. Nothing would need changed." Alfred hugged her back.

   {I promise now I'll show nothing but my smiles.}

  "Just smile more for me, alright?" He kissed her forehead.

   {Standing high right by your side.}

  "I'll right. Just stay with me forever." [Name] smiled as Alfred vanished into the darkness, awakening her from her thoughts.

  "[Name]? [Name] wake up." Matthew shook [Name].

   {I'm wondering where you are and what you are doing now.}

  [Name] looked at Matthew and smiled. "I don't know exactly where Alfred is, but he's in my heart.

   {Are you at the other end of this blue sky?}

  "He's gone. But I know he'll watch me forever." A tear rolled down her cheek.

   {Promise me that you'll show me your happy smile}

  "But I'll smile forever."

  {I will never hope for anything more}
